Hybrid Vehicles - Are They Wave of the Future?

I won't waste my time explaining to you what a hybrid vehicle is. I assume that you already know this information, so for the sake of saving myself sometime in writing and you some time in reading I will not explain. Gas and oil prices are soaring sky high all over the world and especially in the United States. Add to that the current state of the economy and what you have is a very serious crisis on your hands.

Early last year the big three American motor companies Dodge, Ford, and GM all took a major hit largely due to the fact that they had no gas friendly vehicles on the market. For years foreign car companies had been manufacturing very gas friendly vehicles. It was not until this big hit that the big three realized the err in their ways. Since then they have all made attempts at make more gas and echo friendly vehicles. The outcome has been all or at least companies making hybrid vehicles.

I for one love hybrid vehicles, they save you tons of cash on fuel. And believe me, when you are going to the car lot fuel efficiency is going to be the first thing that you hear being talked about these days. They are all very affordable vehicles too. They also don't perform half bad either. On top of that many companies are actually making luxury hybrid vehicles also.

All and all I would say that these cars are definitely the wave of the future. At least until there is a worthy alternative to gas.
